Have a question about the MAP system? Here are some frequently asked questions that can help you understand a little more about how the system was developed, why it is unique and what are the sessions like. If you have additional questions not covered below, please feel free to contact us.
Where did this system come from?
Dr. Flint, clinical psychologist and Colette Streicher, LMSW have combined 60 years of practice and research in the field of alternative psychiatry, cutting edge psychotherapies (NLP, EMDR), energy therapies (EFT, BodyTalk, Quantum Techniques, etc.), success coaching (Tony Robins teachings), and universal laws (Abraham-Hicks, etc.), and have created a breakthrough approach that allows a practitioner to systematically find and neutralize the deepest, unconscious negative beliefs, memories, and emotions that sabotage people’s success and joy in life.
Why is MAP a breakthrough in the field of personal growth?
Unlike EFT: Even though we love EFT and other tapping modalities, and they can easily be used in conjunction with MAP,
with MAP there is no need for tapping or even describing the specific event or the issue—thus saving a lot of time and emotional pain.
Also, many events can be treated together in one time in the perfect order. The subconscious can do all of that on command quickly and very effectively, keeping the work in the unconscious, therefore often with no conscious emotional pain for the client. For example MAP has been used during a high-level tennis game, as it is un-noticeable and instantaneous.
Unlike NLP and many other therapies: The power and knowledge is totally client centered. The practitioner is simply a guide, helping find the next best command using a systemized approach (chart) and asking directly what is the best next move to the client’s subconscious mind.
With MAP the client is empowered and learns immediately how to communicate with his/her own subconscious mind. The client can use MAP on the Go—a simplified version—between sessions.
Unlike hypnosis: the client is totally awake and aware. The power is within him/her. The commands are generic enough so that the client’s subconscious tailors it’s work to the exact client’s need and history.
Unlike other traditional trauma therapies: the parts or aspects of personality that are created during trauma are treated without remembering the traumas consciously, therefore the treatment is very often painless and fast. Many parts can be treated simultaneously with total respect and in the perfect order.
What is Unique about MAP?
Dr. Flint in his 30 years of clinical research working with psychosis, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and torture survivors, have discovered several barriers to change that are not accessible any other way than through the subconscious mind.
– There are parts, as we described before, that do not want treatment and can be treated easily with MAP.
– There are negative energy fields that hook onto memory structures and keep them unchangeable, unless they are found and neutralized.
– There are memory structures that are complex and made up of many elements and need to be dismantled in the perfect order—such as personality traits.
– The subconscious also has the ability to treat entire structures/packages of similar events in one single command.
These barriers simply stop progress in any therapies.
What are the basic theories behind MAP?
The learning theory in traditional psychology has been at the core of Dr. Flint’s discoveries. We are simply neutralizing memories so they are not triggered on automatic and affecting our behaviors and thoughts anymore. We regain freedom to think and act as we truly want.
What are the sessions like?
After exchanging some information at a desk, the client lays comfortably down on a massage table and the practitioner will sit down next to the client and will guide the session as needed.
The client and practitioner can easily do Skype sessions where the client lays on a sofa in the comfort of his/her home and the practitioner can communicate with the client’s subconscious through Skype.
How many sessions do I need to get?
Every session will produce measurable results towards a specific goal. The client actually gives regular feedback during the session and measures the effectiveness of the treatment moment by moment on a scale from 0 to 10. With the feedback, the coach then adapts and chooses the next command.
· The amount of sessions will depend on the number of issues the person wants to work on.
· After several sessions in a row to get started and get most of the mental, emotional and physical blocks out of the way, the client will want to keep aligning with his or her new goals in life on a regular basis, once or twice a month to stay on top of your game.
